The Brazil-based Traffic Sports agency and the World Sport Group agency, part of the Lagardère Unlimited sports marketing group, have been awarded media rights for two competitions operated by Concacaf, the governing body of football in North and Central America and the Caribbean.

The length of the deal is for two years from 2012-13 to 2013-14.

The two companies will distribute rights for Concacaf’s Champions League club competition over the two-year period as well as the the national team Gold Cup tournament in 2013.

TV Sports Markets understands that the Gold Cup rights will be sold by the joint venture outside North America, while the Champions League rights will be sold outside of the Americas.

Concacaf general secretary Enrique Sanz, who was appointed in July, joined the body after leaving his role as vice-president of Traffic.
