Canadian pay-television sports broadcaster TSN and French-language sister network RDS have agreed an exclusive multi-year broadcast rights deal with Rugby Canada – making the networks the official broadcasters of the Canadian rugby union governing body.
TSN and RDS will broadcast several international events each year, including coverage of Rugby World Cup qualifiers, international friendlies and the Rugby World Cup Sevens tournament, which this year will be held in Moscow, Russia from June 28-30.
TSN and RDS are also the exclusive Canadian broadcasters of the 2015 Rugby World Cup. The networks’ new agreement will commence with Canada’s friendly game against Ireland in Toronto on June 15.
