Pay-television sports broadcaster TSN has extended its exclusive rights deal in Canada for the World Curling Championships.
The exact length of the deal was not announced, but the World Curling Federation, the sport’s global governing body, said that the agreement would run until the end of the 2019-20 season.
As part of the agreement, TSN and its French-language pay-television sister channel RDS will continue to serve as the official broadcast partner of the Canadian Curling Association (CCA) national governing body.
TSN struck the deal with the Infront Sports & Media agency, the global governing body’s marketing partner.
The agreement was announced as part of the World Curling Federation’s extension of its partnership with the CCA, under which Canada will host the World Men’s Curling Championship in 2015 and 2017 and the World Women’s Curling Championship in 2016 and 2018.
