A new sports television channel in Tunisia, called T Sport, will begin broadcasting on January 14.
The channel’s owner, Hichem Bouajila, said the network will broadcast 12 hours of live programming and 12 hours of pre-recorded content.
T Sport will initially provide coverage of football, motorsport and combat sports. The Sportetpub.com website reported that the football coverage will include content from the French, Portuguese, Swiss, Belgian, Turkish and Ukrainian leagues.
“The lack of specialised sports programmes in Tunisia led me to start the project,” Bouajila said at a press conference on Saturday.
The T Sport television channel will form part of a wider sports media group that will also produce a sports radio station, newspaper and website.
