Norwegian commercial and pay-television broadcaster TV2 is close to finalising a deal to take over pay-television broadcaster C More in Norway, according to a report on the VG news platform.
The report, which was repeated on the Kampanje news website, said that talks were at an advanced stage after several months of negotiations.
The deal would include C More’s rights for the Norwegian Tippeligaen, the top division of football in the country.
Neither C More nor TV2 would comment on the speculation.
Knut Kristvang, the head of the Fotball Media agency that brokers rights deals for the Tippeligaen, said that he was aware of TV2’s interest in C More, and added that if a deal goes through, the rights would transfer automatically to the new owner.
