Spanish public-service broadcaster TVE has renewed a rights deal for coverage of the ACB’s leading basketball competitions in the country.
The new deal will run for two seasons, from 2014-15 to 2015-16.
TVE will continue to show the top-tier Liga and the Super Cup and Copa del Rey knockout competitions.
TVE will show live coverage initially of the top game of the round on Teledeporte at 18.00pm on Sundays, although the sports channel is expected to close at the end of this year, with sports programming switching to sister channel La 2.
La 1 will show major ACB events and the biggest games of the season, including the league’s final play-off.
TVE will also exploit rights via its official website, RTVE.es.
