Spanish public-service broadcaster TVE has acquired highlights rights to the 2017 MotoGP motorcycling championship.
TVE’s sports channel Teledeporte will broadcast a 90-minute programme on the Monday following every race, while a 10-minute highlights package will also be shown on Sunday evenings following that day’s race.
The agreement was in place for the opening round of the 2017 season at the weekend in Doha, Qatar. Spain’s Maverick Viñales won Sunday’s race on his debut for Yamaha.
Spanish telecommunications group Telefónica has exclusive live MotoGP rights in Spain.
It is a key market for Dorna and MotoGP. The series stages four races in the country, while reigning world champion Marc Marquez is one of a number of Spanish riders.
