New media rights agreements have been agreed in Japan for PGA Tour golf following the shutdown yesterday of GolfTV, the Warner Bros. Discovery-owned international streaming service that previously held rights in the market.

Japanese pay streaming service U-Next and free-to-air linear broadcaster Japanext have picked up rights for the remainder of the 2022-23 season after agreeing deals with Warner Bros. Discovery and the PGA Tour. The rights will be held non-exclusively with pay broadcaster Jupiter Golf Network, which has a pre-existing deal with WBD and the tour.
