Sports media and technology company Deltatre has formed a partnership with the International Cycling Union (UCI) to develop a new internet platform for the world governing body.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but Deltatre will partner with the UCI in the conception, the launch and the direction of its new online portal, which will be introduced this summer.
The UCI said the agreement with the Italian firm is in-line with the union’s wish to modernise and develop cycling using new technology and the latest means of communication.
With Deltatre, the UCI said it will seek to highlight cycling’s sporting heritage through leading events on the calendar such as World Championships and World Cups, and promote the commercial appeal of cycling.
