Swedish public-service broadcaster SVT and commercial and pay-television broadcaster TV4, have acquired rights for the Uefa Euro 2016 national team football tournament, which will take place in France.
As reported in the TV Sports Markets newsletter on September 13, public-service broadcaster NRK and commercial and pay-television broadcaster TV2 agreed deals in Norway.
Uefa, football’s European governing body, confirmed that TV2 would show all 51 matches live as well as magazine and highlights programmes. Uefa said that the agreement would include “significant exposure on the channels of Norwegian public-service broadcaster NRK,” although further details were not disclosed.
In Sweden, SVT and TV4 will share live coverage of all games, as well as highlights and support programming.
