Uefa launches European bidding for new rights package with Russian tender

The CAA Eleven agency has launched a tender in Russia for rights to the European qualifiers for the Uefa Euro 2020 and 2022 Fifa World Cup national team tournaments, the 2018-19 and 2020-21 Nations League competitions and other international matches.

The tender represents the first for this package of rights in a European market. In a separate tender, CAA Eleven has also opened bidding in Russia for the Euro 2020 finals. The deadline for offers for both contracts has been set at August 18.

The new Nations League received the unanimous backing of all 54 Uefa member associations at a meeting of European football’s governing body in March 2014.

The competition is designed to enhance the attractiveness of national team friendlies and will replace a number of windows set aside for such games.

CAA Eleven is Uefa’s exclusive marketing agency for the sale of certain media and commercial rights relating to its national team football competitions.
