UK Culture Secretary Michelle Donelan has written to Prime Minister Rishi Sunak advising against the privatisation of free-to-air broadcaster Channel 4.
In a letter obtained by Lewis Goodall of the News Agents podcast and widely reported by the UK press, Donelan said that pursuing a sale of Channel 4 at this point is “not the right decision” and that there are “better ways to secure (its) sustainability”.
