Pay-television broadcaster beIN Sport has secured carriage agreements with US pay-television operators Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks.
The deals are for beIN Sport’s English-language channel and the Spanish-language channel beIN Sport en Español.
Both channels will also be made available online to authenticated subscribers via Time Warner Cable’s TWCTV.com website.
“US international sports fans are underserved and beIN SPORT fulfils that need,” beIN Sport managing director Yousef Al Obaidly said. “Our original programming and vast, exclusive coverage is designed to meet the desire of viewers to ‘be in’ the game and be involved in the international sports community. We are excited to offer Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks customers the unmatched play of international competition captured only on beIN Sport.”
In August, Al Jazeera-owned beIN Sport launched in the US after securing a carriage deal with satellite pay-television broadcaster DirecTV. Carriage deals with US pay-television providers Dish Network and Comcast were struck later the same month.
