USA Gymnastics has awarded media rights to NBC Sports Group, part of US media company NBCUniversal, and pay-television broadcaster Universal Sports Network, for the governing body’s events.
The deal will run for three years, from 2014 to 2016.
The agreement covers broadcast and digital rights.
NBC Sports will continue to cover USA Gymnastics’ two annual premier events – the AT&T American Cup and P&G Championships – along with the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships and the 2016 Pacific Rim Gymnastics Championships.
Universal Sports Network will show the Nastia Liukin Cup and expanded coverage of the World Championships on both its pay-television channel and the website.
NBC Sports Live Extra – NBC Sports Group’s live streaming product for online, mobile devices and tablets – will stream USA Gymnastics coverage via the TV Everywhere authentication initiative.
