Vietnamese pay-television operator Vietnam Cable Television (VTVcab) has acquired exclusive rights in the country to North American basketball league the NBA.
The deal will run for three seasons, from 2016-17 to 2018-19, according to the Vietnamnews.vn website.
VTVcab will broadcast live coverage of almost 200 matches each year, including 144 regular-season games, up to 34 playoff matches and all games in the NBA Finals.
The deal also covers broadcasts of the NBA All-Star, NBA Action and NBA Daily programmes.
Earlier this week, VTVcab also acquired rights in Vietnam to the Uefa Champions League European club football competition.
