Winter plans to revamp UFC’s Fight Pass

The Ultimate Fighting Championship mixed martial arts series is planning to revamp Fight Pass after hiring former Yahoo! Sports and Rivals.com executive Eric Winter as the new general manager of the online viewing subscription service.

The Boston Herald newspaper said the UFC is considering shortening the 60-day window subscribers have to wait before they can watch replays of pay-per-view cards.

Winter added that he plans to study data to see what UFC fans are viewing so content can be tailored accordingly.

“We want to know what our users are thinking every single day,” Winter said. “We have to start thinking globally and much broader than we ever have. There’s going to be needs, wants and desires from different viewers in different countries at different times.”
