New World TV, the Togo-based satellite broadcaster that holds free-to-air and pay-television rights to the 2022 Fifa World Cup in French-speaking sub-Saharan Africa, has claimed it has suffered a series of cyber attacks since the national team football tournament commenced.
New World TV said it had also been attacked before the World Cup commenced in Qatar, with Gilles Bocco, the company’s communications manager, stating that one of its servers supplying decoders was hit.
