The FIA World Rally Championship has secured new media-rights deals in France and Finland from 2019, with pay-television operator Canal Plus and public-service broadcaster YLE respectively.
The deals were completed by WRC Promoter, which is responsible for all commercial aspects of the WRC.
In France, WRC boosts Canal Plus’s existing motorsport portfolio. It currently holds Formula One rights and has recently picked up rights from 2019 to MotoGP.
In Finland, WRC coverage will once again be broadcast free-to-air by YLE. Pay-television rights are currently held by Nelonen.
