Internet company Yahoo has struck a deal to stream one Major League Baseball match per day for the remainder of the 2016 season.
The ‘Game of the Day’ programme will be available for free, and a total of 180 games will be shown before the end of the regular season.
All 30 teams will play at least one game on the Yahoo Sports stream this month.
Yahoo has previously streamed live coverage of events operated by American football’s NFL, the NHL ice hockey league and the PGA Tour golf series, but this is the first season-long streaming agreement sealed by the internet company.
The coverage will include advertising and will be blacked out in local markets.
