US regional pay-television channel Yes Network has agreed a multi-year deal with Manchester City to televise games featuring the English Premier League football club on a tape delay basis.
Manchester City’s games will not only air on Yes within the broadcaster’s home footprint of New York State and Connecticut, northern and central New Jersey and northeast Pennsylvania, but also on Yes National, the broadcaster’s national feed which is available throughout the US on satellite, telephone companies’ video services and cable.
As part of the deal, Yes will also televise the CityLife and Inside City magazine shows alongside games.
Tom Glick, chief commercial and operating officer for Manchester City, said: “Yes’ strength in the New York area, where Manchester City have found a second home with the recent establishment of New York City FC, in partnership with the New York Yankees, fits perfectly with our desire to serve the New York Metropolitan Area’s fans.”
