Zimbabwean public-service broadcaster ZBC has agreed a rights deal with the Premier Soccer League, the top tier of club football in the country.
The length of the agreement was not disclosed, but it commenced with the broadcast of PSL matches at the weekend.
The deal between the PSL and ZBC comes following the expiry of the league’s six-year agreement with SuperSport, the pay-television broadcaster that operates in sub-Saharan Africa, at the end of the 2017 season.
ZBC said in a statement: “We are confident that this partnership will be mutually beneficial to both organisations. The Premier Soccer League and ZBC will continue to work together to develop the game of football.”
