Football: German public-service broadcasters ARD/ZDF acquired the live and delayed rights for all 64 matches of the 2014 World Cup from Fifa, football’s world governing body. ARD/ZDF will retain the live rights for a minimum 44 matches and highlights rights for all 64 matches but have the option of sublicensing exclusive live rights for 20 matches and non-exclusive live rights for all 64 matches to pay-television.
