Football: UK commercial broadcaster ITV acquired the rights for the first-choice Champions League match on Wednesdays in a three-year deal with the Team Marketing agency. ITV will pay about £60m (€76m) a year over the three years from 2009-10 to 2011-12. The deal included Wednesday night highlights, internet and mobile rights and magazine programme rights. ITV will simulcast live coverage of the final and the Uefa Super Cup with pay-television operator BSkyB. UK pay-operator BSkyB acquired all remaining Champions League rights over the same three-year period, paying about £245m overall. The deal covers television, internet and mobile rights (page 1).
