Athletics: The IEC in Sports agency agreed a number of deals for the 2010 IAAF World Indoor Championships in Doha. In the UK, pay operator ESPN acquired live and highlights television rights and The Telegraph Media Group acquired live, highlights and clips internet rights and agreed to carry promotions across its mobile and print media. In Italy, state broadcaster Rai acquired the rights and is close to a deal for other IAAF events through to 2013. Other deals, just for Doha, were agreed in Ireland (Setanta Ireland), Russia (NTV-Plus), Poland (France Telecom-owned pay-operator Telekomunikacja Polska), Croatia (public-service broadcaster HRT); Hungary and Romania (pay-operator Digisport) and in Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Montenegro (pay-operator ArenaSport).
