Football: German public-service broadcasters ARD and ZDF renewed their rights for the home matches of the men’s national team, women’s national team, men’s domestic league third-tier (3. Liga) and women’s domestic league in a four-year deal, from 2012-13 to 2015-16, with the Deutscher Fussball Bund, the German football federation. The deal is worth about €180m ($256m) overall. The fee per men’s national team match is €4.3m, up from €4.1m in the current deal. The fee for the 3. Liga is €12.8m per year. The fee for the women’s national team and domestic league is €3.7m per year. The deal guarantees an average of six men’s national team matches per year.
