Thailand's military junta has told the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission to broker a deal for coverage of all 64 matches during football’s 2014 Fifa World Cup to be available on free-to-air television.

Thailand’s Supreme Administrative Court has today ruled against the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission’s (NBTC) bid to force RS International, a subsidiary of Taiwanese music and entertainment firm RS, to provide all games from the 2014 Fifa World Cup national team football tournament on free-to-air television.

TrueVisions has acquired rights in Thailand for football’s 2014 Fifa World Cup in a sublicensing deal with rival pay-television operator RS International.
