Just two weeks ahead of its inaugural season, the Alliance of American Football has signed a multi-year, multi-platform broadcast deal with Turner Sports.
TNT will exclusively televise one Alliance regular-season game and one play-off game each season throughout the length of the agreement, with additional regular-season games available weekly via OTT platform B/R Live.
TNT will televise Salt Lake Stallions v Birmingham Iron on Saturday, February 16, while B/R Live’s coverage will begin with Arizona Hotshots v Salt Lake Stallions a week later.
“Joining forces with world-class partners like Turner Sports allows us to keep our mission moving forward and reach thousands of sports fans across their Turner family of platforms,” said Alliance co-founder and chief executive Charlie Ebersol.
The spring-season American football league has a more extensive broadcast deal with CBS Sports, which will carry the opening game and the championship game. A further partnership with the NFL Network is expected.
