BeIN Sport Asia snaps up Euro 2016 rights

Pay-television broadcaster beIN Sport Asia has acquired media rights in Hong Kong for the Uefa Euro 2016 national team football tournament.

The agreement includes all Euro 2016 matches across all media platforms and devices in Hong Kong.

BeIN Sport, which is owned by Qatar-based pay-television broadcaster Al Jazeera, launched two new channels in Hong Kong earlier this month in partnership with free-to-air and pay-television broadcaster TVB.

Coverage of Euro 2016, which will take place in France, will be shown on football-dedicated beIN Sport 1 as well as multi-sport channel beIN Sport 2.
