Canadian telecommunications company Bell has announced that its pay-television broadcasters CTV, TSN and RDS have acquired exclusive rights in the country for the Masters golf tournament.
The rights were acquired from the Augusta National Golf Club, which organises the annual event in the US.
The length of the deal, which will begin with the 2016 edition, was not disclosed. However, the Yahoo! Sports website said that it was likely that that the agreement will run for at least five years, until 2020.
CTV will provide full coverage of the third and final rounds of the Masters.
TSN will expand its broadcast window of the tournament to start at 11am eastern time and will show the first two rounds of the Masters. TSN’s expanded coverage, which was previously available on digital platforms only, will be available across five national feeds and will include Amen Corner, holes 15 and 16, featured groups and more.
Complete French-language coverage of the tournament will be available on RDS.
