Benfica’s in-house pay-television channel, BTV, will continue to show the Primeira Liga top-tier football club's games until the end of the 2018-19 season.
Benfica general manager Domingos Soares de Oliveira told BTV that the club’s deal with Portuguese telco Nos will run until the end of the 2018-19 season.
Nos has held the rights to Benfica matches since the 2016-17 season in an agreement that could be extended up to a total of 10 seasons. The deal includes distribution rights for the BTV channel.
De Oliveira said that BTV or Nos would be able to discontinue the agreement after the 2018-19 campaign.
