UK pay-television broadcaster BT Sport has extended its rights deal for the Formula E electric car-racing championship.
Under the agreement, BT Sport will air comprehensive highlights of all 11 rounds of the 2015-16 Formula E season, the championship’s second campaign.
BT Sport showed a one-hour highlights programme in the week following all 10 rounds of the inaugural 2014-15 season.
Earlier this month, commercial broadcaster ITV also extended its rights deal with Formula E. Digital channels ITV4 and ITV4 HD will show all 11 rounds of the 2015-16 campaign on a live basis, with the season-ending London ePrix to be shown live on the main ITV channel. ITV will also show an extensive highlights programme after each race.
Formula E said further television deals will be announced in the coming weeks.
