Canal Plus, the international pay-TV broadcaster, has acquired its first sports rights in Austria after landing a package of exclusive matches from Uefa club competitions.
The Vivendi-owned broadcaster, which recently set up a joint venture in Austria with telco A1 Telekom Austria, has secured exclusive rights to the first-pick Wednesday Uefa Champions League match and the first-pick match each week from the Europa League or Europa Conference League.
