UK production company Sunset+Vine has signed a three-year extension to its host broadcast contract for the Caribbean Premier League Twenty20 cricket competition.
The deal covers the 2018 to 2020 editions of the competition and has been signed ahead of this year’s CPL, which runs from August 8 to September 16.
Sunset+Vine will produce the world feed for the competition, which this year will feature 34 matches taking place across seven countries. The company will also create all pre- and post-match programming.
A total of 85 crew will work on the CPL, with three outside broadcast units to rotate across the eight tournament venues. Huw Bevan will be Sunset+Vine’s executive producer for the CPL.
Bevan, executive director at Sunset+Vine, said: “For 2018, aside from the action, we are committed to showcasing the true essence of this unique sporting occasion and the beauty of the Caribbean. There will also be an emphasis on behind-the-scenes access to players that will enable us to capture the fun, relaxed nature of the tournament and take this to a growing global audience.”
Sunset+Vine first partnered with the CPL ahead of the 2017 edition.
