Canadian public broadcaster CBC has agreed a content-sharing deal with OTT platform DAZN to show the latter’s coverage of the national team’s matches at the Fiba Women’s Olympic qualification tournament.
CBC will show the Canada’s three matches at the Belgium-hosted tournament on its CBC TV network as well as streaming platforms CBC Gem and CBCSports.ca.
The public broadcaster will produce its own wrap-around content for the matches.
DAZN holds the rights in the country to every Canada national team game from Fiba’s leading national team competitions from 2017 to 2021.
Fiba’s Women’s Olympic qualification tournament runs from February 6-9 and Canada face matches against Belgium, Sweden and Japan.
