The Chinese Volleyball League has signed additional digital rights partners through deals with the Jinri Toutiao news and information platform and online streaming service Tencent.
The Yutang Sports website said Toutiao has acquired short-form video streaming rights to all matches of the 2017-18 CVL season, including regular season games, playoffs, finals and all-star matches across the men’s and women’s competitions.
Tencent’s Live.qq.com service has signed on as the official new media live broadcasting platform of the league in a deal that entitles it to show 180 games online, including the regular season and playoffs.
Earlier this week, the CVL sealed similar deals with the Sina Sports division of Chinese internet operator Sina and the Suning Sports division of conglomerate Suning Holdings.
