Major League Soccer club Chivas USA has announced new local television rights deals with broadcasters KDOC and MundoFOX22 KWHY-TV through to the end of the 2013 season.
The Los Angeles club will return to KDOC, where English-language broadcasts will be available over-the-air in Southern California. KDOC will broadcast a total of seven of the nine games remaining in Chivas USA’s season.
Chivas USA’s Spanish-speaking fans will be served by seven matches on MundoFOX22, two of which will air on Meruelo Media’s independent channel, Super 22.
In addition, the club’s national television partner Univision will televise two games in Spanish.
The agreements take effect from September 1, when Chivas USA travels to face Vancouver Whitecaps.
