Copa Libertadores deal in Germany

German sports broadcaster Sportdigital agreed a deal with the Brazil-based Traffic Sports agency for rights to the 2012 edition of the Copa Libertadores, the South American equivalent of the Uefa Champions League.

Sportdigital acquired exclusive live rights to a maximum of 34 matches – to be shown on a weekly basis – in a deal that also includes internet rights. Live streaming of matches will be available for €1.99 each, or €24.99 for a season-long package.

Sportdigital’s coverage kicks off with the first-stage, first-leg qualification match between Colombian side Once Caldas and Internacional of Brazil.
