Prosiebensat.1 strikes Uefa U-21s deal

German commercial broadcaster Prosiebensat.1 has acquired rights for the 2013 Uefa U-21 national team football tournament.

The broadcaster’s main channel, Sat.1, and its basic-tier channel Kabel Eins, will share coverage of the competition in Israel.

Kabel Eins will show live coverage of the first two group games featuring the Germany national team, against the Netherlands on June 6 and Spain on June 9, before Sat.1 broadcasts the final Germany group game against Russia on June 12. Sat.1 will also show the semi-finals and final of the tournament live if Germany qualifies for those stages.

Prosiebensat.1, which struck the deal with the CAA Eleven agency, will also stream live coverage of the games via its Ran.de website.
