Subscription streaming service DAZN has acquired rights in five countries to this weekend’s heavyweight boxing rematch between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury.
DAZN will hold exclusive rights to the fight in Germany, Austria, Spain and Italy, and non-exclusive rights in Switzerland.
The winner of the fight, which takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday, will be crowned WBC heavyweight world champion.
Wilder and Fury last met in December 2018 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, with the fight ending in a split decision draw. The rematch has been dubbed ‘Unfinished Business’.
In the past 12 months, DAZN has covered Anthony Joshua’s defeat and subsequent victory over Andy Ruiz Jr., Canelo Alvarez’s victory over Sergey Kovalev, Gennady Golovkin’s win against Sergiy Derevyanchenko and the high-profile fights between YouTube stars KSI and Logan Paul.
