DAZN, the OTT service operated by digital sports media company Perform, has renewed an agreement for rights in Germany and Austria to Ligue 1, the top tier of French football.
The new deal will run for three seasons. DAZN will also continue to show the Coupe de France and Coupe de la Ligue knockout competitions, along with selected matches from the second-tier Ligue 2. The agreement was first reported by TV Sports Markets on July 20.
DAZN has held Ligue 1 rights in Germany and Austria since launching in the two countries in 2016. The 2018-19 Ligue 1 season gets underway on Friday with Toulouse’s trip to Marseille.
