Deltenre seals new term at helm of EBU

Ingrid Deltenre has secured another term as the director general of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) consortium of free-to-air broadcasters.

Deltenre’s new three-year term will start in January 2016 and expire in January 2019.

The contract was confirmed in the report of the personnel committee presented to EBU member senior executives at the 74th general assembly in Prague, Czech Republic.

Deltenre, who joined the EBU in January 2010, said that she was delighted to have the opportunity to continue to build on the organisation’s achievements.

Earlier this week, the EBU confirmed an agreement with European football’s governing body Uefa for exclusive media rights on all platforms in 26 countries to the Euro 2016 national team tournament.
