Telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom and Bayern Munich are set to collaborate on the launch of a linear television channel that will be dedicated to the German Bundesliga football club.
The channel launch will be part of a partnership between the two parties that began in 2015 and will run until 2023, according to the Sponsors.de news service.
The channel is likely to be available via the T-Entertain digital platform, but the launch is still a few months away, the report added.
The channel will offer programming that is currently available via the FCBayern.tv online platform, but additional content and pricing details have not been confirmed.
Deutsche Telekom already has rights to coverage of Bayern’s basketball team in the Eurocup competition, as well as live coverage of Bayern’s women’s football team. The telco will also be able to show matches featuring the men’s second team if it gains promotion to the third tier of German football.
