German telco Deutsche Telekom has agreed a four-year deal with broadcasting and media services provider Media Broadcast to aid its delivery of games from top-tier club competition the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL).
The contract will run from 2019-20 to 2022-23, taking in the remainder of Deutsche Telekom’s current deal as the BBL’s main domestic rights partner.
Media Broadcast will supply Deutsche Telekom’s MagentaTV broadcasting centre with signals from the BBL arenas.
Media Broadcast will take over the locally produced television and audio signals of the games and transmit them from the arenas live and in HD-SDI picture quality via fibre-optic lines and satellite feeds to the MagentaTV control room.
