The German Football League (DFL) will hold talks with Eurosport over the coming days after the international sports broadcaster’s coverage of the Hamburg v RB Leipzig Bundesliga match on Friday endured technical problems.
The DFL said that fans were “justifiably dissatisfied” with the problems and said that even if the issues are “manageable” the league is committed to “guaranteeing” quality coverage throughout.
Eurosport’s coverage of its first Friday night game just over two weeks ago also encountered technical disturbances.
The broadcaster said: “We very much regret that there were some technical difficulties.”
Eurosport has rights to stream live coverage of 30 Friday night Bundesliga games this season, as well as five Sunday matches, five Monday games, the play-offs and the Supercup.
