Pan-regional pay-television broadcaster DirecTV has acquired rights to the inaugural Para-South American Games across eight markets.
DirecTV is broadcasting the multi-sport event, which commenced in Santiago, Chile on March 26, via a special channel on its direct-to-home platform in Argentina, the Caribbean, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.
The Para-South American Games run through March 30, with more than 600 athletes from eight countries competing across seven sports. Medals will be contested in athletics, swimming, table tennis, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair tennis, boccia and powerlifting.
