German touring car racing series DTM has secured full live coverage in Austria for the first time through a deal with public-service broadcaster ORF.
Under the agreement, ORF will cover all 20 races from the 2018 DTM season live. With the exception of the races at the Norisring, Nuremberg’s street circuit, and the night races held at Misano, Italy, all the Sunday races will be covered live by free-to-air station ORFeins.
ORF will also provide highlights of every race weekend with Austria set to have two drivers on the grid, Lucas Auer and Philipp Eng, for the first time since 1993.
The 2018 season gets underway at Hockenheim, Germany from May 4-6, with Austria staging its round at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg on September 21-23.
