Irish telecommunications company Eircom has struck a deal with UK pay-television broadcaster Sky to expand its carriage of the Sky Sports channels.
Eircom will now offer the Sky Sports 3, Sky Sports 4 and Sky Sports 5 channels via its eVision IPTV platform.
Eircom already carries Sky Sports 1 and Sky Sports 2 on eVision. The additional three channels will be available from tomorrow (Tuesday).
The expanded package will cost €36 ($44) per month.
Content available on the three channels includes live coverage of a host of major sports events such as golf’s PGA Tour, the Uefa Champions League European club football competition and the US Open tennis tournament.
