ESPN Star Sports agrees extension for US Masters golf rights

Pan-Asian sports broadcaster ESPN Star Sports has extended a rights deal for coverage of the annual US Masters golf tournament at the Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia, the US.

 

The deal is for territories in ESPN Star Sports’ footprint in Asia, excluding South Korea.

 

The length of the agreement was not disclosed.

 

The rights include live coverage of all four days of action every year, plus half-hour daily highlights and live news updates in English and Mandarin.

 

Online and mobile rights are included in the deal.

 

“We're delighted to sign again for such a unique and special event, with a remarkable character and history,” ESPN Star Sports’ managing director Peter Hutton said.
