Brazilian sports broadcaster Esporte Interativo has agreed a partnership with social media platform Facebook to enhance coverage of the Campeonato Brasileiro de Aspirantes club football competition.
Esporte Interativo is the broadcast partner for the tournament, which is endorsed by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).
The Maquina do Esporte website said the broadcaster’s deal with Facebook will result in 30 games from the ongoing season being live streamed through its official page on the platform.
Facebook will also present additional content, such as match highlights.
The Campeonato Brasileiro de Aspirantes features 10 clubs split into two groups. Group A consists of Coritiba, Cruzeiro, Figueirense, Internacional and São Paulo; while Group B holds Atlético-MG, Atlético-PR, Botafogo, Grêmio and Santos.
The teams mainly comprise players aged under 23, but four players above this age are permitted.
