Europa League rights awarded in Hungary

Uefa, European football’s governing body, has agreed deals in Hungary with the Sanoma Digital Media group and pay-television broadcaster Digi Sport for the Uefa Europa League for three seasons, from 2012-13 to 2014-15.

Sanoma Digital Media, a multi-territory broadcaster, has acquired live rights to the first-pick match each match week. It will show the live match on its main Hungarian channel, Story 4, followed by a highlights programme.

Digi Sport has acquired the live rights to all other matches. It will show two live matches each match night, one on the Digi Sport Hungary channel and the other on Digi Sport Plus Hungary. Digi Sport will also show highlights.

The two broadcasters will share coverage of the final.

The deals, brokered by the Team Marketing agency, include mobile and internet rights.
